JOHN MARSH WILL BE DEMONSTARTING LITERATI/BUNJIN

John Marsh

John started Bonsai in 1971 and was a founding member of Nepean Bonsai Society Inc. and was at the inaugural meeting for the founding of the AABC of which he was Vice President for many years.

He is a life member and patron of Nepean Bonsai Society Inc. and life member of the Bonsai Society of Australia Inc. and a previous member of the National Bonsai group.

John is an AABC visiting tutor and mentor and has demonstrated at AABC Seminars in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin and Melbourne and conducted workshops and demonstrations at many local and regional clubs in Australia and New Zealand. Demonstrated at the Bonsai Clubs International Seminar in 1995.

Formal training was with Deborah Koreshoff authorised by the Nippon Bonsai Saikei Institute of Japan. Later took over from Deborah to teach the course. Also completed the teacher’s course with Dorothy Koreshoff with the Bonsai Art Academy and also taught bonsai at TAFE, and is proprietor of the Literati Bonsai Studio.

Also studied Penjing with the Lingnan Penjing Academy of Australia.

Proficient in all Bonsai styles and techniques but regards himself as a Bonsai Artist rather than a Horticulturalist.

Another successful show in the books!

 

Thanks to everyone for attending our annual show in September, it was a huge success and we were delighted with the quality of trees, the helpful members who assisted us and the whole community for turning out to attend and support us.

Founded in August 1965 by Dorothy and Vita Koreshoff, the Bonsai Society of Australia, Inc. is one the first Australian bonsai societies. As a non-profit association, our purpose is to promote knowledge of, and interest in bonsai and to serve as a national focal point for bonsai fanciers.
We publish a monthly Bonsai Newsletter, and provide a variety of educational and support services to the bonsai community. [link to Newsletter page]
Committee of the Bonsai Society of Australia Inc are unpaid volunteers who are dedicated to spreading the word about this wonderful, satisfying and challenging hobby.

We support AABC and BFA and other local, regional, and international groups. We take pride in our commitment to grow these partnerships. Our members are committed to improving and developing talent. We hope to help you develop your skills.
