Andrew is a regular demonstrator, workshop leader and good friend to our club and is well known for his knowledge and friendly and thoughtful style.
Bonsai has been a twenty-two year obsession for Andrew and this certainly shows as there is not much Andrew doesn’t know about exotic
or native species and their styling. Andrew’s favourite species to work with are pine, followed closely by Australian native trees. Andrew enjoys ‘helping others with their bonsai training’ and demonstrating and teaching what he has learnt.

I attended the demonstration last night (3/3/20). Honestly, the Chinese Elm used for demonstration looked boring to me. But Andrew changed it into a really beautiful interesting one. I’m very impressed with his works. Also I’ve learned the new technique of bending a branch to put into desired position.
