April is a good time to tidy up summer growth on most species and prepare for winter. Some repotting of certain species can also be carried out at this workshop. Make sure, if you are planning to repot, that you bring all the requirements like bonsai potting mix, a selection of pots, wire and the tools you might need.

Members are invited to bring any trees to our workshops that they would like advice on. These workshops are particularly helpful for members with less experience in the art of bonsai to gain understanding of how to develop their trees. You can get this experience by working on your own trees or from observing others and asking questions. It’s a much less ‘formal’ time than our regular meeting, with discussion and conversation always encouraged.
