AABC Convention, Canberra 2025

The AABC Convention last month was a triumph for the Canberra Bonsai Society. Nepean Show

Nepean Bonsai Club’s show last month was a terrific success at its new venue, Glenbrook Public School. The gymnasium provided much needed space and very good lighting to show every tree at its best. An extensive sales area, coffee cart and sausage sizzle made for a most enjoyable day.

September is a good time to repot many evergreens, such as pyracantha and buxus. Azaleas can also be repotted while they are in flower, although for many September will be too late in the season, as once the new flush of growth has come behind the flowers, you shouldn’t repot. AABC Brisbane Convention
